Dave Latimer

Dave began coaching at Pingree in 2011 and spent five seasons as an assistant on the boys’ varsity basketball team. In that time they compiled a record of 89-26, reaching four consecutive NEPSAC Final Fours and two NEPSAC Championship games.

In 2016, Dave became the head varsity girls coach at Pingree where his team won the school’s first EIL Championship in eleven years and also won EIL Coach of the year.

Dave played at Allegany High School in Cumberland, Maryland and during his three years the team went 71-6 and were State Finalists each year. After high school, Dave attended West Virginia University as an invited walk-on under Coach John Beilien. After red-shirting his freshman year, he transferred to Allegany College of Maryland where his team was ranked in the national top 25 annually.

Steve Gibbs

Founder of Hoop Mountain which continually ranks as one of the premier basketball organizations in North America for over 30 years. Since 1986, Steve has managed every type of basketball event in a first class manner. Events range from a year round basketball academy, summer and school vacation camps, private and semi private training, college showcases, high school games at the Boston Garden, to college counseling. Hoop Mountain has many girls and boys franchises across the U.S.A. and in the Middle East.

Steve has been the head coach of the Boys Varsity Basketball team since the 2003 season. During his tenure, the team has captured five league titles and earned one New England Championship. Several former players are currently playing or have played college basketball.

 

 

 

 

 

Dave Briggs

David’s love of the game can be traced back to the 60’s and 70’s when he crossed
paths with fabled Coach Rollie Massimino playing for the Lexington High School
Minutemen. A life- long avid fan and team player, he currently serves as the
Assistant Varsity Coach at Pingree School and runs a Special Olympics program called the Andover Rising Stars. His previous coaching positions include YMCA, AAU and town teams, just to name a few.

Professionally, David has lead the team of Boston Catering and Events for nearly 35
years. A premiere caterer and New England stand-out in the special events field,
Boston Catering and Events has an impressive client list which includes a personal
favorite, the Boston Celtics.

The married, father of three, shares his enthusiasm for basketball with his wife and
sons. Rarely a day goes by for this coach, business owner, sports fan and family man
that doesn’t include cheering for the home team.
